Control Panel window, click on Allow a program through Windows Firewall. This will take you to the Windows Firewall Settings window. Here, go to the Exceptions tab and check the box to make the uTorrent program as firewall exception.
2. Disk Overload
In most of the uTorrent poor performance cases Disk Overload is the major problem. This message suspends the downloading speeds to a few kb/s. You can overcome this problem by overriding the Disk Cashe settings in uTorrent. Go to Options > Preferences > Advanced > Disk Cache and modify the value for “Override the automatic cache size and specify the size manually”.

Network Tab
One of the most important steps is to choose a correct TCP port. Before you do that, make sure that you uncheck the option Randomize port during launch, because this would cause inconsistency in the download speeds.
Either use the default port that your uTorrent offers, or go with 14387 (this one worked good for me). And that is it with this tab.
BitTorrent Tab
In the Connections option, choose Global Limit as 200 and Per torrent limit as 50. We should be good with this. I have checked number of videos and tutorials, and this configuration has been used by almost every one.
Now enable both the options (put check across them) in Peers section. And the Queues setting is something that totally depends on you as it has nothing to do with the download speed, just that parallel downloads decreased download speed of the torrents.
And Disable the Outgoing encryption option.
Bandwidth Tab
This is one of the most crucial tabs to tweak which has direct affect on the uTorrent download speed. Uncheck the Automatically manage bandwidth, Download: Limit manually to options.
Set both the Upload options, Limit manually to and Limit seeding rate to to 2 kB/s. And Seeding: Stop at up/down ratio to 3.oo and that is it.
Rest Of The Tabs

Rest of the tabs include General and Directories, which is totally for the download preferences. You can change them the way you want as it has nothing to do with the download speed. And I wonder if any normal user actually uses Scheduler and Remote options.
